We are pleased to announce that JJ Griffin has agreed an extension to his contract which will keep him managing the Old Cranleighan Club at Thames Ditton for another five years.

JJ took over from Ed Breton in 2010 and made an immediate impact, carrying out a number of improvements to the facility and as a result the clubhouse has become a more vibrant place.

Most recently it has become apparent that the car park was not sufficiently big to cope with the phenomenal success of the mini rugby and hockey on Sunday mornings, so JJ along with Will Fawcett have cleared the far end of the car park as well as the area next to the groundsman’s shed to provide parking for up to 50 more cars.

Plans for the coming months include a renovation of the memorial gates, an overhaul of the grandstand in time for its 80th birthday next year, and a modernisation of the signage in and around the club.
