The OC Squash Club lost their first-round match in the Londonderry Cup to Old Etonians. Eds Copelston reports:

Having lost to eventual winners Millfield in the second round last year, a first round draw against the second-ranked side, Old Etonians, was always going to be a tough fixture at the RAC on Pall Mall.

The OC side was again led by captain Mike Roper with Richard Winter, Will Guess, Eds Copleston and Alan Cope completing the V. We lost 5-0 in matches but showed good fight and all games were played in excellent sporting spirit. The squash club is still in embryonic stages and is looking to grow after being accepted into the Londonderry Cup, which is the oldest-running old boys competition in the world.

The club is looking to create a fixture list and grow its membership in 2016 with a view to establishing a squash ladder in London. If you are interested in joining please contact Eds Copleston on ecopleston@hotmail.com
