Langmead completes Atlantic crossing
We are delighted to report Sam Langmead (2 North, 2000) and his co-rower James Dennistoun completed the Atlantic Rowing Challenge 2009, Heart Of The Warrior crossing the finishing line in Antigua on March 30.
Langmead’s achievement is all the more remarkable given that he stepped in at six weeks’ notice when Dennistoun’s original partner had to withdraw. Most entrants had been training for a year or more.
The pair are raising money for two charities - Wave 105 Cash for Kids and St Barnabas Hospice/Chesnut Tree Children's Hospice. To help them in this aim, visit their donations page by clicking here.
Rich Hume, the other OC in the event, arrived in Antigua on March 23.

Julia Ormond (1&4 South 1983), best known for for films such as Legends Of The Fall and First Knight, picked up the Best Supporting Actress Emmy for her TV movie Temple Grandin
We are sorry to report that Ken Wills, who taught at Cranleigh between 1949 and 1988, died on August 19 after a short illness.
