Henry Taylor heads to Rugby World Cup

Henry Taylor

Former 1st XV captain Henry Taylor (Loveday 2010) has been selected as part of a 25 man squad to travel to New Zealand this summer to defend the Under-20 Rugby World Cup.

He is currently studying Art at Loughborough University as well as continuing his professional career with Saracens. Henry represented England at Under-18 level and played in three of the five Six Nations matches this winter.  He is one of a number of Old Cranleighans who are playing professional rugby since leaving the School and his achievements have led to real inspiration for the current pupils here.

He captained the 1st XV in the 2011 season, where he helped the side win over 80% of their matches as well as winning two rugby seven tournaments. Henry signed for Harlequins straight from School, joining the likes of former Cranleigh pupils Will Collier, Sam Smith and Seb Stegmann at the Quins.
