Guildford nightclub up for sale

The Legion nightclub in Guildford’s town centre has once again been put up for sale by its owner, Alasdair Wilson (North 2003).

“It’s been on the market for a few months now,” he told the Surrey Advertiser. “I have come to the end of my time managing bars and clubs. I have a young family and I plan to spend more time with them.”

He had put The Legion up for sale last summer but took it off the market last October. He has owned the club for six years and said he had not accepted any bids for the leasehold as yet.

“I would like to stress that it will be sold as it is. I do not want people with bookings to worry, it is being sold as is, there will just be a different person at the top.”

The Legion was originally establish in 2007 and opened after an extensive refurbishment as a 400 capacity nightclub over three floors. This summer the nightclub was scaled down to trade on the first floor with a capacity of 200.

He still owns ‘OKE in Guildford, a karaoke and cocktail bar.
